Brake System Vacuum Pump

Brake System Vacuum Pump

Component location of the brake system vacuum pump is located on the automatic transmission at front in direction of travel.

It is not possible to service the brake system vacuum pump. If there is a malfunction, replace it.

Can be checked in "Guided Fault Finding" using the (VAS 5051).

Removing

-

Disconnect the vacuum hose - 1 - from the brake system vacuum pump.

Disconnect the electrical connector - 2 - from the brake system vacuum pump.

Remove the remaining electrical connectors and wires from the bracket -  3 -.

-

Remove the bolts - arrows - and remove the bracket -  3 - with the brake system vacuum pump.

-

Then remove the bolts - arrows - and remove the brake system vacuum pump - 1 - from the bracket - 2 -. 

Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
