Removing

Remove bolt - 1 -.
CAUTION!
Do NOT try to remove the Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module (J527) without loosening the center securing clip as
described in the next step. The Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module (J527) would be damaged.

On the Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module (J527), slide e.g. a wire or a drill dia. 2.5 mm - 2 - approximately 45 mm into hole -
arrow 1 -, whereby the retaining detent is released - arrow 2 -.

Using a screwdriver, press against the rear securing clip - arrow - of Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module (J527).

Carefully pull Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module (J527) downward from steering column switches.

Disengage - arrow A - harness connector - 1 - and disconnect it from Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module (J527).
