Lay cutting cord - 1 - around rear window and pull other end of cord into interior.

Secure end of cord to grip (V.A.G 1351/1) - 2 - to counter hold.

Secure other end of cord to spooling tool - 1 -.

Cut window free by moving spooling tool - 1 - accordingly. 

-

While cutting window free, push cutting cord with plastic wedge against window in order to have clearance at window flange.

Removing Damaged Rear Window

-

Protect body and interior from glass splinters.

-

Remove glass pieces from adhesive material.

-

Remove the rear lid trim.

-

Remove the window frame trim.

-

Remove the rear window wiper.

-

Disconnect rear window defroster connectors.

-

Bond flange - 2 - all around with fabric reinforced adhesive tape.
