Wiper Motor: Service and Repair
Rear Window Wiper Motor

Rear Window Wiper Motor

CAUTION!
When disconnecting and connecting the battery, the procedure must be followed as described in the Repair Information. Refer to --> [
Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Battery,
Disconnecting and Connecting.

Removing

-

Remove the rear window wiper arm. Refer to --> [ Rear Window Wiper Arm ] See: Wiper Arm/Service and Repair/Rear Window Wiper Arm.

-

Disconnect the battery. Refer to --> [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Removal
and Replacement/Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting.

Remove lower rear lid trim.

-

Disengage and disconnect harness connector - 3 -. 

-

Release the hose connection - 2 - by raising the circlip and pulling the hose from the connection on the Rear Window Wiper Motor (V12) - 1 -.

Remove the nuts - arrows -.

-

Carefully pull off Rear Window Wiper Motor (V12) from rear lid.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

-

Before installing the Rear Window Wiper Motor (V12), coat the inner side of the seal in the rear window with rubber- and plastic-compatible
lubricant (e.g. polyethylene glycol).

Check seal for correct fitting in rear window opening.

Marking - 1 - of seal must align with marking -  2 - on rear window.
