Removing

Remove engine cover. Refer to --> [ Engine Cover ] See: Cylinder Head Assembly/Service and Repair/Engine Cover.

Remove air filter housing. Refer to --> [ Air Filter Housing ] See: Tune-up and Engine Performance Checks/Air Cleaner Housing/Service and
Repair/Air Filter Housing.

Remove intake hose --> [ 1 Intake Tube ] See: Tune-up and Engine Performance Checks/Air Cleaner Housing/Service and Repair/Air Filter
Assembly Overview between the mass air flow sensor and intake scoop. Loosen hose clips with hose clip pliers (VAS 6362).

Remove warm air collector plate --> [ 2 Warm Air Collector Plate ] See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air

Remove charge air pipe --> [ (item 15) Charge Air Pipe ] See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air

Remove connecting pipe between the exhaust manifold and intake manifold --> [ 29 Connecting Pipe ] See: Powertrain Management/Fuel
Delivery and Air Induction/Turbocharger/Service and Repair/Turbocharger with Exhaust Manifold and Attachments Assembly Overview.

Remove oil supply line clamp - arrow - at the rear of the cylinder head.

Loosen union nuts on the oil filter bracket and turbocharger with the socket wrench (T40055).

Remove oil supply line clamp - arrow - at the side of the cylinder head.
