‹› Multi-point socket (T10385)
‹› Multi-point socket (T40159)
‹› Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1331)
‹› Spring-type clip pliers (VAS 6362)
‹› Ratchet (V.A.G 1331/1)
‹› Engine bung set (VAS 6122)

Always follow these instructions before and during work.
Removing
‹› Make sure no contaminants enter the fuel system when removing the intake manifold.
‹› Seal the fuel system connections with sealing plugs from the engine bung set (VAS 6122).

Remove engine cover. Refer to --> [ Engine Cover ] See: Cylinder Head Assembly/Service and Repair/Engine Cover.

Remove protective strip --> [ 1 Protective Strip ] See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement.

Loosen high pressure line or fuel lines - arrows - on the intake manifold.

Remove connector on the fuel injectors - A -, the exhaust pressure sensor 1 - B - and the fuel pressure sensor - C -.
