‹› Oil pressure gauge (V.A.G 1342)
‹› Voltage tester (V.A.G 1527 B)
‹› Connector test set (V.A.G 1594 C)

Test Conditions
‹› Engine oil level OK. Refer to --> [ Engine Oil, Checking Level ] See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Engine Lubrication/Testing and
Inspection.
‹› Engine oil temperature at least 80 °C (radiator fan must start up once).
Test Sequence
‹› For the functional check and servicing of the optical and acoustic oil pressure warning and "Function and Component Selection".

Disconnect connector from oil pressure switch.

Remove oil pressure switch - 2 - and install it into Oil Pressure Tester (V.A.G 1342).

Install Tester in place of oil pressure switch into bracket.

Connect brown wire - 1 - of tester to Ground (GND).

Connect Voltage Tester (V.A.G 1527 B) using the adapter cables from the connector test set (V.A.G 1594 C) to the battery positive (+) and the oil
pressure switch.
‹› LED must not light up.
If LED lights up:

Replace oil pressure switch:
‹› Tightening specifications --> [ 7 , 22 Nm ] See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Engine Lubrication/Oil Filter Housing/Service and Repair.
If LED does not light up:
