Alarm Module: Service and Repair

Towing Recognition Control Module

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1783)

CAUTION!
‹› Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.

‹› Remove ignition key.

Removing

-

Remove luggage compartment left side trim.

-

Disconnect the connectors - 2 - from the  towing recognition control module (J345).

‹› The number of towing recognition control module harness connectors  can deviate from the illustration depending on vehicle equipment.

-

Remove mounting bolts - 1 - and remove towing recognition  control module with bracket out of vehicle.

-

Remove mounting bolts - arrows - and remove towing  recognition control module from bracket.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:
