Diesel Direct Fuel Injection Engine Control Module -J248- must be recorded if vehicle code is not displayed or ECM has been replaced.

Special tools and equipment

Scan Tool VAG 1551 or vehicle system tester VAG 1552 with cable VAG 1551/3

Work sequence

Connect Scan Tool VAG 1551 (VAG 1552) and select engine electronics control unit with the "Address word" 01. When doing this the ignition
must be switched on.

Press buttons -0- and -7- for the function "Code Diesel Direct Fuel Injection Engine Control Module -J248-" and confirm entry with -Q- button.
