Installing
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order. The following information must be observed:
   
–  Insert headliner in rear window channel. Start in the centre and work upwards and outwards to the sides. It is recommended to engage the convertible roof headliner in the rear window channel using a plastic wedge and a plastic hammer as shown in the diagram.
  Note
Ensure that both markings on the headliner (top and bottom) align with the notches on the rear window channel. Make sure that the headliner is spread equally along the window channel.

–  Before closing the individual zip fasteners, align the marking on the padding with the marking on the convertible roof cover.

–  Close the zip fastener from the middle using the locking pliers -VAS 6138-.

–  Secure the ends of the zip fastener with a stapler -VAS 6148- (3 to 5 mm from end of zip fastener). When doing this, ensure that the staples are always properly pressed together.

–  Pull tensioning cord into sides of convertible roof cover using a suitable wire cable.

–  Bring the convertible roof cover and tensioning cables back to their original position.

–  Before inserting roof leading edge trim in channel of leading edge, align marking (strip) -1- of convertible roof cover with centre line of hole -2- of roof leading edge. It is recommended to use glass cleaner to ease pressing in of the roof leading edge trim.
