The rear spoiler raises automatically when the vehicle speed reaches 150 km/h (approx. 94 mph). If, at this speed the sunroof is open or raised, the sunroof will close automatically.
If the vehicle speed drops below 130 km/h (approx. 81 mph) the rear spoiler will lower automatically. The sunroof will open again.
The adjustable rear spoiler control unit -J223- detects faults and malfunctions in the rear spoiler system and stores these in a non-volatile memory.
Faults can be read using self-diagnosis and targeted repairs made → Body self-diagnosis; Rep. Gr.01.

A fault in the rear spoiler system is indicated via the rear spoiler warning lamp -arrow- when in the automatic mode. The warning lamp also lights up when rear spoiler is raised “manually” → Chapter.
  WARNING
The behaviour of the vehicle can change at high speeds if the spoiler does not move into the raised position.
