Drivers Side/Passengers Side Side Airbag, Removing and Installing

Drivers Side/Passengers Side Side Airbag, Removing And Installing --> 05.03

NOTE:  Removal and installation is described for left side of vehicle. The same instructions apply for removal and installation for the right-hand side.

Removing

CAUTION:

-

Observe safety precautions for working on airbags

-

Never let anyone sit in the passenger compartment when the airbag system is being worked on, especially when the airbag system is being
connected to a power source or the battery is being reconnected.

Switch ignition off.

-

Open doors.

-

Disconnect battery ground (GND) strap

-

Remove driver/passenger seat (use Airbag adapter VAS 5094 ).

-

Remove backrest frame.

-

Remove backrest cover 05.03 -->.

-

Remove backrest cushion.
