Pull ignition coils with final output stages vertically off of spark plugs with ignition coil puller T40039.

Continuation for all engine codes

Remove spark plugs with spark plug removal tool 3122 B.

Set cylinder to "bottom dead center".

-

Screw pressure hose VW 653-3 into spark plug thread.

-

Insert press piece 3362-1 into valve spring compressor 3362.

-

Mount valve spring compressor 3362 to cylinder head with securing bolts supplied in tool. Bring valve spring compressor into following position
to press valve springs together:

outer intake valves: lower position center intake valve: upper position exhaust valve: lower position 

-

Connect pressure hose to a compressed air system of at least 6 bar and remove valve springs.

-

Pull off valve stem seals with 3364.
