Intake Air Control Valve: Testing and Inspection
Recirculating Valve For Turbocharger, Checking
NOTE: Valve opens between connection to intake manifold and connection to deceleration shut-off valve with no voltage Connection to vacuum
reservoir is closed.
Recommended special tools and equipment e.g.:

V.A.G 1526 multimeter or V.A.G 1715 multimeter

V.A.G 1594 connector test kit

Wiring diagram
Test requirements
-
The respective fuses of the Turbocharger Recirculating Valve -N249- must be OK.

Fuel Pump (FP) Relay -J17- must be OK, check.

Ground (GND) connections between engine and chassis must be OK.
-
Ignition switched off.
Test sequence
-
Disconnect 2-pin connector from Turbocharger Recirculating Valve -N249-.
Checking resistance
-
Check resistance between valve terminals.
Specified value: 25.0 to 35.0 Ohms
If specified value is not obtained:
-
Replace recirculating valve for turbocharger -N249-.

Erase DTC memory of Engine Control Module (ECM). Diagnostic mode 4: Reset/erase diagnostic data. See: Computers and Control
