Remove bolts - 1 - and pull water drain hose - 3 - off carrier - 2 -.

-

Pull motor carrier - 2 - off rear lid and thus off VW emblem.

-

If necessary, remove emblem from upper side of rear lid.

Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.

-

Replace securing clips for electrical wiring.

Removing

Remove rear lid trim

Disconnect harness connector - arrows -.

-

Disengage operating rod - 1 - for lock carrier.

Remove cable from clips - 2 -.
