Pull locking cable out of instrument panel.

Installing 

Note:  Do not kink the locking cable. Adjust the locking cable after installation.

Installation position of locking cable
1 - Footwell vent
2 - Instrument panel support
3 - Heater unit

Move pull rod upward and shift selector lever to position "P" with pull rod still held up.

Pull locking cable slightly out of cable casing and hook into locking lever - arrow C -.

Hook locking cable support mounting into gear lever bracket - arrow B -.

Insert locking cable into steering column lock. Flattened side of cable faces downward.
