Rear Spoiler Drive, Removing and Installing

Removing

NOTE:  The Rear Spoiler Control Module J223 and the Rear Spoiler Motor V52 are integrated in one component and are designated as rear spoiler
drive in this description.

Raise rear spoiler "manually".

-

Remove lower tailgate trim.

CAUTION:  Before working on electrical system: Disconnect battery ground (GND) strap.

Disconnect connector - arrow - from rear spoiler drive - 4 -.

NOTE:  The wiring harness connectors can be unhooked from the bracket on the lower guide tubes - 5 -.

Loosen screw - 1 - and open hose clip - 2 - (unhook).

-

Remove bolts/screws - 3 - and take drive - 4 - off lower guide tube - 5 -. Torque setting: Bolts - 3 - = 2.5 Nm

Installing

Installation is carried out in the reverse sequence of removal.

The following work steps must be performed in addition when doing this.

Check parallel running and reinstate if necessary before installing the rear spoiler drive.

After completing the installation of the drive, lower and raise the rear spoiler completely "manually" Raising and lowering the rear spoiler
"manually".
