Engine Accessory Bracket: Service and Repair

A/C Compressor and Bracket - 2.0L 4-Cylinder Gasoline Engine, Assembly

Special tools, testers, measuring instruments and auxiliary items required

Torque wrench (5 - 50 Nm)

NOTE:

-

The compressor bracket and related components can be removed and installed without having to open the refrigerant circuit.

-

All ancillary components must be removed prior to removal of compressor mounting bracket.

1. Ribbed belt tensioner
2. Generator (GEN)
3. Bracket

Mounting for:
-

Generator

-

Compressor

-

Power steering pump

-

Removing:
-

Remove ribbed belt (also known as "poly-V.belt)

-

Remove Generator (GEN)

-

Remove power steering pump

-

Remove bolts -7-.

-

Remove compressor from bracket, swing away and secure in engine compartment with wire.

-

Remove bolts -4- (Qty. 4).

-

Remove compressor bracket from engine.

50 Nm (37 ft. lb)

5. Power steering pump
