Engine oil specifications

Use engine oils conforming to VW standard 500 00, 501 01 or 502 00. Only in exceptional cases: Multi-grade or single grade oils conforming to
API-SF and SG or ACEA A2/A3.

Note:

The engine is filled at the factory with engine oil conforming to VW standard 50300. This engine oil is designed for extended (long) service
intervals (ESI).

Markings on oil dipstick for engines without balancer shaft assembly

1 - max. mark
2 - min. mark
a - Area above hatched field up to max. mark: Do not add engine oil!
b - Oil level within hatched field: Can be topped up with engine oil.
c - Area from min. mark up to hatched field: Top up with max. 0.5 l of engine oil!
