Then open locking mechanism of connector in direction of arrow -1- and disconnect connector from control module -2-.

Remove securing nuts (arrows -3-).

Remove old control module.

-

Insert new control module and bolt firmly.

Continued for all vehicles

Connect connector to control module and lock.

Rest of installation is performed in reverse order of removal.

-

Check whether new control module identification matches old control module identification.

Vehicles with 09G transmission

When harness connectors are disconnected from Transmission Control Module (TCM) or the battery is disconnected, all adaptation values in the control
module are erased. DTC memory content will remain intact however. If the engine is started after this, rough, uneven idle can result for a short time. In
this case, the readiness code must be generated again.

If Transmission Control Module (TCM) -J217-was replaced:

Code the Transmission Control Module (TCM).

-

Generate readiness code.
