Use hose clamp 3094 hose on power steering pump. 

-

Remove noise insulation panel. 

-

Place drip tray underneath.

-

Press tie rod end off steering arm.

A - Ball joint separator (commercial type) e.g. Kukko No. 128/2
-

Disconnect hoses from steering gear and seal with plastic bag and adhesive tape.

-

Seal threaded holes on power steering gear with plastic sealing plugs -1- and -2-.

-

Remove hex bolts -1- and -2-.

Vehicles with TDI engine 
-

Separate exhaust system from subframe.

Continued for all vehicles 
-

Support subframe with engine/transmission jack VAG 1383 A. 

-

Remove hex bolts -1-.
