Spring/shock absorber, removing and installing

VAG 1332 Torque wrench

VAG 1752 Spring compressor

VAG 1752/3 Spring retainer

VAG 1752/9 Adapter
Removing spring

Insert spring compressor -1-.
-
Compress the coil spring until it can be removed.

Remove spring.

Installing spring
-
Make sure zinc spacer bushing is not damaged.

Replace if necessary.

Install spring together with spring bearing plate.
-
Release spring and take out spring compressor.
Observe installation position!
-
End of the spring -arrow- must lie against the limit stop of the spring seat.
Removing shock absorber
The coil springs must be removed beforehand
