Removing

Obtain radio code on vehicles with coded radio.
-
Disconnect battery.
-
Pull intake hose -1- and connector -2- off mass air flow sensor.
-
Remove bolts -3-, -4- and -5-.
-
Remove air cleaner complete.
Vehicles with a 2.0L or 1.8L engine

Remove protective housing for relays from cable channel.
Continuation for all vehicles

Lay out sufficient lint free clothes in area of plenum chamber, engine and transmission.

Draw off as much brake fluid as possible from brake fluid reservoir using a suction bottle.

Clamp clutch master cylinder supply hose with special tool 3094.
-
Pull off clutch master cylinder supply hose.
-
Pull connector off float warning indicator sender.
-
Pull connectors -arrows- off brake pressure senders -a- and -b-.
-
Disconnect brake lines on brake master cylinder and seal brake lines with plugs from repair kit Part No. 1 HO 698 311 A.
-
Remove brake master cylinder nuts.
