Protect transmission by carefully taping around turbine shaft and over holes.

-

Saw through sleeve bearing using a saw blade. Do not saw at thrust point of sleeve bearing (arrow). Ensure that no filings enter transmission.

Without damaging turbine shaft, carefully pry up split sleeve bearing using a screwdriver.

-

Remove filings and sticky tape.

-

Replace torque converter seal.
