Fuel Filter: Service and Repair
Removal and Installation

Engine Code BPR (Metal Fuel Tank)

Fuel Filter

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Torque wrench (5-60 Nm) (VAG 1783)

Removing

-

Remove the fuel delivery unit. Refer to => [ Fuel Delivery Unit ] See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Tank/Service
and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Removal and Installation/Fuel Delivery Unit.

Disconnect the ground (GND) wire - 1 -.

Disconnect the supply line at connection - 3 - or -  4 - (depending on accessibility). To do so, press in the securing ring.

Loosen the clamp - 2 - and remove the fuel filter - 5 - to the side.

Installing

-

Install the fuel filter - 7 - as shown in the illustration.
