Tip:
Open webbing just enough to get rivet to come through.

Fold upper webbing over when installing, as shown.

Assemble eyelet and both webbings on rivet. See Required Parts and Tools.

Notice orientation of eyelet and webbings and install rivet.
Final position of shortened upper webbing after riveting -arrows-.
^
Cycle convertible top fully two times (open/close).
With convertible top fully open:

Check for material contacting trunk lid.
^
Check for material contacting when opening trunk lid -arrow-.
If contact is not present:
^
Repair is complete.
If contact is present:
^
Repeat procedure again and shorten length of upper webbing by 5 mm and retest for contact.
