Piston with automatic adjustment

‹› Removing and installing => [ Brake Caliper Piston ] See: Overhaul/Brake Caliper Piston.

‹› Apply thin coat of assembly paste (G 052 150 A2 ) on piston

‹› Replace if leaking at parking brake cable lever=> [ Pressure Leak Test ] See: Hydraulic System/Testing and Inspection/Pressure Leak Test. 

‹› Pre-bleed caliper housing after repairing => [ Brake Caliper, Pre-Bleeding ] See: Overhaul/Brake Caliper Piston.

CAUTION!
Brake fluid is poisonous. NEVER siphon brake fluid with your mouth! 

‹› After replacing brake pads and before moving vehicle, depress brake pedal several times firmly to properly seat brake pads in their normal

operating position.

‹› When siphoning brake fluid, always use a bleeder bottle that is used exclusively for brake fluid.

‹› Before removing brake caliper or disconnecting brake hose from brake caliper, install brake pedal actuator (V.A.G 1869/2 ).
