System Bleeding General Information. 

-

Mount wheel.

‹› Depress brake pedal several times firmly before moving vehicle to properly seat brake pads in their normal operating position.

‹› Check brake fluid level.

Rear Brakes

Brake Caliper

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Torque wrench (V.A.G 1331)

‹› Brake pedal actuator (V.A.G 1869/2)

Removing

The work sequence applies only for replacement, or the following service work on the brake caliper housing.

-

Remove wheel.

-

Attach bleeder hose of bleeder bottle onto bleeder valve of brake caliper housing and open bleeder valve.

-

Install brake pedal actuator (V.A.G 1869/2 ).

-

Close bleeder valve and remove bleeder bottle.

-

Remove brake hose.

-

Remove clip - 1 -.

-

Press brake lever - 2 - in direction of -  arrow - and disengage parking brake cable - 3 -.

-

Counter-hold guide pins and remove attachment bolts from brake caliper housing.
