Pay attention to decals designating high voltage components. When performing repairs, residual voltage must be discharged.

The wiring harnesses for the airbag and the pretensioner may be repaired only with the (VAS 1978 B). Refer to => [ Airbag and Belt

Crimp Connector

Remove 6 to 7 mm of insulation on the ends of the wires using the (VAS 1978/3) in the (VAS 1978 B).

For the repair, use a suitable crimp connector form the ( VAS 1978 B).

Use the (VAS 1978/1-2) to press the crimp connector. 

The following exchangeable heads are available for the (VAS 1978/1-2):

Crimp the connector with the (VAS 1978/1-2).
