Thread can be repaired using Heli-Coil(R) thread insert when thread of weld nut is damaged.

‹› Tightening specification => [ Shock Absorber ] See: Specifications/Rear Suspension/Rear Axle Component Tightening Specifications.

‹› Always replace

Hex nut

‹› Always replace

‹› Axle beam must be in center position when tightening nut.

It is recommended that a second person put weight on rear of vehicle during tightening

Socket head bolt

Stub axle

‹› Straightening work prohibited.

‹› Thread-cutting prohibited.

Dust cap

‹› Always replace after removal

‹› Pressing off and driving in => [ Wheel Bearing and Hub Unit ] See: Wheel Bearing/Service and Repair/Rear Suspension/Wheel Bearing and

Hub Unit.

An appropriate seal can only be achieved with a new dust cap.

Self-locking 12 point nut

Wheel hub with wheel bearing

Wheel bearing and wheel hub are installed together in one housing.
