Frequency Valve And On/Off Solenoid Valve
The On/Off solenoid valve is an electronically controlled evaporative emissions check valve.
Valve Locations
The On/Off solenoid valve, which is located below the intake air boot and next to the frequency valve, is powered open by the CIS-E Motronic control
unit during normal engine operation. It allows fuel vapors from the charcoal canister to be be metered into the engine by the frequency valve, but is
closed when the engine is "OFF".
