Differential Pressure Regulator: Service and Repair
Fuel Pressure Regulators
The Differential Pressure Regulator cannot be repaired and if found to be faulty should be replaced. To replace the regulator, remove the harness
connector and the two (2) mounting screws. Remove the regulator and the O-rings from the fuel distributor. Installation is the reverse of removal.
Always use two (2) new O-rings when installing new regulator.
CAUTION: Absolute cleanliness is essential when working with fuel circuit components of CIS-E. Even a minute particle of dirt can cause major
trouble if it reaches the fuel distributor or fuel injectors. Before disconnecting any of the fuel line connections, throughly clean the unions.
Always use clean tools.
NOTE: The Differential Pressure Regulator mounting screws are special anti-magnetic screws. If a screw is lost or must be replaced, obtain a correct
replacement screw to ensure proper regulator operation.
