Condition
Manual transmission vehicles have a throttle valve housing which may have delay between the actuation of the idle switch and the actuation of the
primary throttle plate.
Criteria
A 2 mm gap (see illustration 25-A284) may exist between the idle switch actuation lever and the throttle plate. This gap may cause a hesitation on the
take off and/or reduced responsiveness at steady speeds.
To eliminate gap, a clip, Part No. 051 133 806 A, see Fig. 25-A285, is to be installed on the actuator arm.
CAUTION
DO NOT install clip when no gap is present.

check idle switch operation per Repair Group 25 Service Microfiche, replace if necessary

install clip, Part No. 051 133 806 A (Fig. 25-A286) in direction of arrow

use needle nose pliers
