Place transmission jack e.g. VAG 1383 A under control arm.

Raise control arm slightly.
-
Drive drive shaft out of hub with a plastic head hammer if necessary.

Remove drive shaft.
Installing
Install in reverse order.
Tightening torques:
Drive shaft to wheel hub
Drive shaft to flanged shaft
2. Hex bolt
Tightening torque:
^
Changed to hex key head bolt
Bolt M14:
^
115 Nm and turn 180° further
Bolt M16:
^
190 Nm and turn 180° further
