Front Crankshaft Seal: Service and Repair

Vibration Damper Shaft Seal, Removing and Installing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Pressure piece (T10354)

Removing

Proceed as follows:

-

Remove vibration damper => [ Vibration Damper, Removing and Installing ] See: Cylinder Block Assembly/Harmonic Balancer - Crankshaft
Pulley/Service and Repair.

-

Remove the vibration damper and mount the Thrust Piece (T10368).

-

Pry out the sealing ring.

Installing

Clean running and sealing surface.

Disconnect the Thrust Piece (T10368).
