Service

When following Airbag diagnostic procedures outlined in section 01 of the appropriate Repair Manual:

Be sure to check wiring connections as outlined in the "Correction" column of the diagnostic troubleshooting procedures.

When a procedure requires separation or replacement of a terminal, always apply contact enhancer, Stabilant 22A, Part No: ZVW 186 001, to the
terminal. 
Refer to Technical Bulletin Group 97, number 9503, dated Apr. 11, 1995.

After application of the contact enhancer reconnect all connections and retest the system.

When ever a harness replacement is necessary, Stabilant 22A should be applied to all terminals prior to connecting the harness.

To compensate for expense of the Stabilant 22A, add labor operation 97A1000 5TU to your warranty claim.

Caution!

Always disconnect the Battery Ground (GND) strap before working on the airbag or related system.
