Evaporator Case: Service and Repair

Evaporator Housing, Assembly 

CAUTION:  Part numbers are for reference only. Always check with your Parts Department for latest parts information.

To remove evaporator housing for disassembly:

-

Discharge A/C refrigerant system. See: Service and Repair

Drain engine coolant.

-

Remove instrument panel and support bracket.  See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Instrument Panel/Dash Board/Service and Repair

Remove heater box/evaporator housing.

Note:  Remove heater box/evaporator housing before replacing any parts marked with an *.

1*- Upper evaporator housing

-

seal grooves and contact surfaces with silicone rubber sealant Part No. AKD 476 5 05 or equivalent

2 - Fresh air blower series resistance with fuse (N24)
3*- Seal
