Power Steering Pump: Service and Repair

NOTE:
-

Always replace seals.

-

Do not reuse drained hydraulic oil.

-

Pumps supplied as spare parts are not filled with oil.

-

Fill the pump with G 002 000, or equivalent, hydraulic oil and rotate it by hand, otherwise the pump may be damaged or noisy during operation.

Suction Hose
-

A cooling line is installed between vane pump suction hose and reservoir

Hose Clamp

Pressure Hose
-

Attachment varies according to type of transmission

Seal

Banjo Bolt
-

Tighten to: 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.)

Vane Pump
-

Checking delivery pressure.

Ribbed Belts
-

Removing, refer to Engine

Belt Pulley

Hex Socket Head Bolt
-

Tighten to: 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.)

Hex Bolt
-

8 x 30 mm

-

Tighten to: 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.)

Hex Socket Head Bolt
-

8 x 30 mm

-

Tighten to: 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.)
