Make sure the sealing flange alignment pins are installed in the cylinder block.

Apply sealant (D 176 501 A1) on the sealing flange as shown.
‹› Sealing flange must be installed within 5 minutes of applying sealant.

Tighten the bolts in 3 stages as follows:
