Brake Pad: Service and Repair
Rear Brakes
Brake pads, removing and Installing
Special tools required
Note: Mark brake pads when removing if they are to be reused. Re-install in their original position.
Removing

Remove wheels.

Remove securing bolts from brake caliper housing, counter-hold on guide pins.

Remove brake pads.
Installing
Note:
Before pressing piston back, draw off brake fluid from the reservoir. Use a bleeder bottle or a plastic bottle which is only used for brake fluid.
WARNING!
Brake fluid is poisonous and must not be sucked out through a hose by mouth.

Screw in piston by turning knurled wheel of special tool 3272 clockwise.
Note: To assist adjusting piston depth use special tool 3272/1.

Insert brake pads.

Secure brake caliper housing with new self-locking bolts.

Install brake caliper housing, torque to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.) .

Attach parking brake cable to brake caliper housing.
