Removing And Installing Wiring For Shift Lock, Shift Lever Illumination And Tiptronic 

Removing 
-

Remove center console and extension.

-

Disconnect harness connector -1- for shift lock solenoid -N110- (item -2-) (concealed).

-

Unclip cover-3- and lift up.

-

Disconnect harness connector -4-for shift lever positions and Tiptronic in direction of arrow.

Installing 
Installation is the reverse of removal.

Removing And Installing Selector Lever Handle 

Removing 
-

Shift selector lever into position "2."

-

Slide sleeve -1- down as far as it will go.

Carefully pull button -2- out of selector lever handle -3- over detent point until dimension -a- is obtained. Pull lever -4- will then be pulled out of
pull rod -5-.
^

Dimension -a- = 5 mm

^

Dimension -a- corresponds to width of connecting eye -6- on spring -7-

Note:  Do not overstretch spring or pull out forcibly.

Simultaneously pull handle -3- off selector lever -8-.

Note:  Do not damage the eye of the pull rod

Installing 
-

Shift selector lever into position "2."
