Heat inner race to approx. 100°C before pressing on.

Inscription "oben" (top) on 3253/4 thrust washer faces nut on the puller.

Lubricate outer race first and press in using VW295 needle bearing drift and 30-205 thrust pad.

Install pinion with new spacer sleeve.

Heat inner race to approx. 100°C.

Press pinion up and press inner gracefully home up to stop using 40-21 sleeve.

Lubricate with gear oil before installing.
