Idle speed, adaptation
NOTE:
Under exceptional circumstances e.g. customer complaints such as droning noises, vibrations during idle, etc,, it is permitted to slightly adjust the idle
speed. You must first ensure, however; that the idle speed is nut outside of it's specified range. If it is outside the tolerance range, it is also possible that
the vehicle could fail the next emissions test.

Test conditions

No DTC's stored in DTC memory

Engine Coolant Temperature must be 85 °C minimum See Display group 04, Display zone 3
Work sequence

Connect VAG 1551/1552 Scan Tool.

Start engine and let idle

Press 0 and 1 buttons to select "Address word" 01 "Engine electronics"
Display will appear as shown
