Final Drive Fluid: Testing and Inspection
01V Automatic Transmission

Final drive oil, checking 

Oil level is checked with transmission installed

Checking:
-

Raise vehicle.

-

Remove plug (arrow) to check gear oil level and top gear oil up to lower edge of hole.
Specification.

-

Replace O-ring.

-

Install bolt.
Tightening torque: 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.) 

Gaskets and seals, replacing 

CAUTION:  Do not run the engine or tow the vehicle with the transmission oil Dan removed or containing no ATF

Notes:

Pay attention to the rules of cleanliness when performing repairs

Apply a thin coat of petroleum jelly to O-rings and seals. Other greases cause operational problems in hydraulic components.
