Shift Cable: Testing and Inspection
01N Automatic Transmission

Selector lever cable, checking and adjusting 

Checking

Shift selector lever into Park position "P"

Take selector lever cable -1- off selector shaft lever -2- on transmission upward.

Move selector lever from "P" to "1 "

Shift mechanism and selector lever cable must move freely. If necessary replace selector lever cable or service shift mechanism.

Shift selector lever into Park position "P"

Shift selector shaft lever to "P." The parking lock should engage and it should not be possible to turn the two front wheels in the same direction.

It should be possible to push the selector lever cable onto the selector shaft lever. Adjust selector lever cable if necessary.
