Fuel Pressure Sensor/Switch: Service and Repair
Fuel Pressure Sensor

Assembly tool T10118

Socket wrench insert 27 mm VAS 5301/7
CAUTION:

Follow safety measures for releasing fuel pressure in high pressure area.

For safety reasons, remove the fuel pump control module J538 fuse from the fuse panel before opening the fuel system. This prevents the
fuel pump from being activated by the driver door contact switch. Fuse assignment.
Removing

Remove engine cover/air filter.

Remove the coolant pipe and oil dipstick guide tube from the intake manifold - arrows -.
-
Press the oil dipstick tube down and to the right - arrow -.

Disengage connector from fuel pressure sensor G247 using assembly tool T10118.
CAUTION: Fuel rail is pressurized. Wear protective goggles and protective clothing to prevent injuries and contact with skin. Before
loosening fuel pressure sensor G247, place a cloth around the connection point. Then release pressure by carefully loosening.

Remove fuel pressure sensor G247 using socket wrench insert 27 mm VAS 5301/7.
Installing
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal, noting the following:
Tightening specifications.
