Beginning 10/92, a revised rear brake caliper was installed in production.
Rear Brake Caliper
An outer characteristic of the revised brake caliper is the bolted-on bracket -A- for retaining the parking brake cable. Previously, the retaining point was
cast as part of the caliper housing.
The new caliper improves the hydraulic/mechanical efficiency of the rear brake assembly.
CAUTION

DO NOT install both versions of rear caliper on the same vehicle.

DO NOT install new version caliper into vehicles built before 10/92.
The procedures for brake pad replacement and repair of the brake caliper remain unchanged and valid as described in Repair Groups 46 and 47.
