• ‒ Support boot lid/tailgate.
• ‒ → Lift locking clip -1- with a screwdriver and pull gas-filled strut off ball-head stud -3-.

Note:

If gas strut is to be reused, retaining clip -2- must not be taken out of ball socket completely, otherwise retaining clip will be damaged.

•      -     Locking clip
•      -     Gas strut
•      3 -     Combi ball stud, 22 Nm
