Doors front
Removing and installing door lock

Door window must be closed.

  • ‒ Remove door handle
  • ‒ Remove door trim.

=> General body repairs, interior; Repair group 70; Door trim; Removing and installing front door trim
 
N57-0070
  • ‒ Carefully pull off door insulation film.
  • ‒ → Remove T 25 Torx bolts -2-
         Tightening torque: 8 Nm.
  • ‒ Unclip rod clip -1-, lift door lock up to installation opening and unhook pull rod -3-.
  • ‒ On vehicles with central locking pull off pressure line and separate connector.

Installing:

  • ‒ → Loosen tolerance screw -arrow- prior to installing door lock.

After installing lock/handle, tighten adjustment screw (adjustment screw Torx T 20, tightening torque = 3 Nm).
Left lock - right-hand thread
Right lock - left-hand thread

The adjustment is carried out by tightening the adjusting screw.
