Door window must be closed.

• ‒ Remove door handle
• ‒ Remove door trim.

=> General body repairs, interior; Repair group 70; Door trims; Removing and installing rear door trim

• ‒ Carefully pull off door insulation film.
• ‒ → Remove T 25 Torx bolts -2-
       Tightening torque: 8 Nm.
• ‒ Knock out spreader pin for clip on angled lever -4- to rear. Remove spreader pin without fail from the door (rattling noises).
• ‒ Unclip rod clips -1-, lift door lock out of installation opening and unhook pull rod and locking rod -3-.
• ‒ On vehicles with central locking pull off pressure pipe.

Installing:

• ‒ → Loosen tolerance screw -arrow- prior to installing door lock.

Left-hand lock - right-hand thread
Right-hand lock - left-hand thread

Tighten tolerance screw (Torx T 20)
     Tightening torque = 3 Nm.

Do not move tolerance screw sideways when tightening (e.g. by supporting the key on edge of hole). The door handle must be pushed onto door outer panel.

Tightening the tolerance screw also takes care of the adjustment.
